Christmas Home Tour with Balsam Hill

By Natalie Woods - December 07, 2018

Christmas is almost upon us and for me, it's my absolute favourite time of year. I especially love the run-up to the main event (largely because I get to dress the house up).

Usually, I go for a pared-back, natural look - think bare Christmas trees and wreaths with dried orange slices and real candles but this year, I've partnered with luxury Christmas specialists; Balsam Hill to create a country-luxe look throughout the house.

My Christmas designs are part of a set of 7 different looks created by interior design bloggers, so pop over to their Instagram to see what the other designers have done. Personally, I can't wait to see!

The bare wreaths are still very much in my Christmas-look mix, alongside natural elements but this year the Canadian Spruce tree (7 foot) is dressed to the nines with their gorgeous silver and gold bauble set and topped it off with the mirrored tree topper.

I've finished off the luxe look with a woven tree collar to tie-in with the country-cabin look.

Behind the dining table, I've added extra greenery using the Homestead Pine garland, which I have also displayed in the kitchen.

I don't just save Christmas for the downstairs reception rooms, it spreads throughout the house! The first upstairs area to be decorated is the guest room - I keep it very simple, as my home interior preference is for a calm, cozy space. Here, I've used Balsam Hill's elegant Fraser Fir wreath. You can see below how it looks lit and unlit.

Next, it's about adorning the front door. I prefer a pared-back look for the door and I love the pop of lime against the grey in this Homestead Pine wreath.

Of course, Mrs T isn't left out of the festivities! I've decorated her with the Fraser Fir wreath, seen lit here.

Next up, it's into the back garden where I've shown how the Norman Fir Garland and Homestead Pine wreath can be used to decorate outdoor spaces - I was going for a Christmas market look here!

I hope you've enjoyed my Christmas home tour in partnership with Balsam Hill! Have a wonderful time decorating your home. I definitely did!
